Our client is a national leader in telecommunications field, is hiring a trainer to coordinate all aspects of training.The Trainer will be responsible for orientating, training, and evaluating field technicians in the Georgia are.

Overview

The training supervisor plays a pivotal role in training new cable technicians to become new productive talent.

Responsibilities*:*

Field Training Duties

  • Responsible for orientating, training and evaluating field technicians to be successful.

  • Train and demonstrate to all field employees’ safety requirements, installation specifications, driving requirements, customer services standards and administrative requirements and standards relating to their job.

  • Evaluate and monitor the quality of work and hourly production rate of pay for each new field technician in production to ensure they are meeting all standards or if they may need additional training to be successful.

  • Coach and counsel trainees when performance concerns arise.

  • Administer tests and evaluate the performance and conduct of all field employees prior to releasing them to production.

  • Coordinate all on-the job training for all technicians that require additional training as needed.

  • Communicate all training progress or concerns to project management and in a timely and professional manner.

Safety Duties Include

  • Ensure that employees are adhering to all safety requirements and regulations and lead or assist in weekly Safety / Communication Meetings.

  • Help support company safety program including Drive Cam

  • Monitor safety regulations and provide technical support to field personnel to ensure compliance with Federal and State safety regulations.

  • Identify company safety training needs and assist in development and coordinate safety training programs.

  • Periodically audit field practices and records to ensure compliance with company programs and Federal/State occupational safety and health regulations.

Supervisor Duties Include

  • Perform regular “ride-outs” to ensure quality, installation specifications, safety and customer service requirements are being met.

  • Perform minimum of 2 JSO’s per technician on a monthly basis

  • Ensure bi-weekly inspections are performed on vehicles.

  • Coach, counsel and evaluate field technician’s performance.

  • Listen to and resolve employee issues and concerns quickly.

  • Open and close the office when needed.

  • Quality Control

  • Identify, monitor and address problem areas and customer service/quality control issues and complaints.

  • Establish workable quotas.

  • Perform Quality Control Inspections; up to 2 jobs per day, 5% of all Field Technician work.

  • Resolve escalated customer issues quickly and in a manner that satisfies the customer; educate employees associated with the issue to resolve such issues without escalation.

  • Investigate and or resolve all trouble calls after install and damages.

  • Perform various Cable Technician duties as needed, including but not limited to, carrying and climbing a ladder when necessary.

Qualifications*:*

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Understands and demonstrates standard practices of installation of satellite, cable, telephony and related services.

  • Supervisory experience in cable television, telecommunications or customer service industry a plus.

  • Minimum 1 year of cable installation experience.

  • Completion of “Train the Trainer”.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends

  • Must be able to travel out of state on an as needed basis.
