Vice President & General Manager, Commercial Operations, Services

Position Summary:

The Vice President & GM, Commercial Operations is responsible for the execution and operation of all OEM business for the Connected Vehicle Division. This position maintains oversight of all of the Client Success Executives (CSEs) who are individually responsible for the strategic connected vehicle relationship and business development with one or more OEMs. The Commercial Operations team is also responsible for managing a product management team that is directly responsible for the definition and execution of OEM program requirements, change requests and any other program changes.

The VP is primarily focused on B2B relationships, CV/Infotainment business development and internal communication with the product management, operations and development organizations. This role will be critical in maximizing SXM's revenue opportunities through OEM pre-paid service trials and consumer self-pay services. The VP will partner with the Automotive Partnership team to leverage their deep relationships while working to strengthen the core CV business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the overall development and execution of all OEM connected vehicle programs

  • Responsible for OEM partner satisfaction and overall success of programs, CRs and daily operation

  • Responsible, in conjunction with their CSE's and the account team, for delivering on critical business growth targets

  • Manage to the financial performance and key metrics of all OEM programs and operations

  • Lead CSEs with clear guidance and mentoring to ensure that they are successful in their roles

  • Responsible for CV and infotainment related business development

  • Work closely with the Automotive Partnership team to achieve the CV and Infotainment revenue growth targets

  • Partner with the Automotive Partnership team to ensure that our business objectives are clear, the OEM plans are clearly understood and that we have a joint execution plan to insure success

  • Work closely with the Product organization to ensure that OEM program objectives and constraints are clearly accommodated in all new product initiatives

  • Manage OEM Product Management team; this team is responsible for providing business and developmental leadership to automotive partners in selection, development and final in-vehicle implementation of connected vehicle services.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Client Service Executives and their respective organizations, and Product Managers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A. in business, finance or related field or equivalent experience. MBA strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 15 years in Product Management, Business Development or similar B2B role

  • Minimum of 5 years background in development/engineering, preferably with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier

  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Working knowledge of modern software development architectures
