Description
Responsibilities

  • Be part of go/no-go team reviews and provide technical oversight of proposal preparation.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship and development of geotechnical staff.

  • Provide oversight, direction, and leadership for geotechnical projects.

  • Assist in developing strategic approach to projects with heavy geotechnical focus.

  • Facilitate collaboration between various regions with the geotechnical team.

  • Establishing and developing teaming relationships with other consulting firms as necessary

  • Help identify, attract, and assist in recruiting additional geotechnical staff.

  • Provide technical oversight, recommend design concepts, perform peer reviews and develop solutions, and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum B.S. Degree in Civil engineering or geotechnical engineering

  • Minimum of 20 years of geotechnical related experience

  • Professional.l registration in at least one state and willingness to register in other states if needed

  • Thoroughly knowledgeable of geotechnical design and construction, including geotechnical and foundation engineering, and tunneling methods and techniques.

  • Membership with relevant professional organizations and active participation in national tunneling and/or geotechnical associations.

  • Publications in technical journals and conferences and seminars

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strategic thinker, with demonstrated collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and gain the support of others.
