The Opportunity

Seeking a Chief Executive Officer to join our passionate and entrepreneurial team. As a business, our results are measured by both lives changed and trauma de-stigmatized, which should be at the forefront of our daily efforts.

This CEO candidate should have tech-enabled, customer-centric services industry experience to lead the company’s development and expansion. The CEO will be responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the business as well as seeing through a vision for success. This person must bring a hands-on approach in establishing key analytics and performance drivers in a fast-paced and high-growth business. Similarly, this person will hone relationships with proven practitioners, provide oversight in the build of our business model, and participate in our broader efforts to educate patient and medical communities on the efficacy of our solution.

The CEO would receive an equity stake in the company and a competitive salary.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the company while establishing our overall infrastructure including company and practice logistics, processes, and standards, and superior patient experiences that will serve as the foundation for continued growth across the business.

  • Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including managing the P&L model to predict future patient opportunities, expansion to new business lines, and a deep understanding of channel costs and levers to acquire patients.

  • Lead the 3-year planning process to position as uniquely situated to own the national market we are targeting

  • Partner with our CMO to develop a credible, durable and trustworthy healthcare consumer brand

  • Identify and execute on PTSD treatment offerings to drive new and existing patient volume. Promote the development of industry leading services while creating an empowered environment that respects all employees and maintains a high-performing team.

  • Alongside our Chief Medical Officer, spearhead the research and development function to allow Stella to expand the Company’s suite of services (diagnostic, treatment, maintenance) to more of a platform (vs. single modality) offering

  • Create and maintain high-value partnerships that can serve both as credibility-boosters and acquisition channels.

  • Partner with the executive leadership team on the recruitment of physicians (MD Partners) and ongoing relationship management while driving engagement within our practitioner community; meet the needs of our practitioners and their staff in order to assure high quality care.

  • Develop positive relationships with local industry, local government, potential key health care providers, and the general public. Act as the face of the business while managing any press inquiries.

  • Plan, process, and run board meetings to showcase improvements across all elements of the company.

  • Foster a positive company culture, while providing inspired leadership and building trust for all companies and customers alike.

Requirements

A successful candidate for this position will be a respected executive with a track record of building a business that has been seen as transformational in the industry, with an emphasis on driving demand via multiple acquisition channels. This person is ideally practiced in regulatory environments and adept at managing public claims and press relations. This person is ideally versed in the direct-to-consumer model (including referrals and broadcast) and how to build a brand that authentically connects to a consumer audience. Fluency in managing physicians and healthcare professionals are viewed as an added bonus.

  • 10+ years experience overseeing a tech-enabled company as CEO, ideally in the health space

  • Strong understanding of how to run and manage P&Ls

  • Demonstrated ability in building/growing a brand

  • Demonstrated ability in finding, negotiating, and maintaining partner relationships core to the business

  • Demonstrated ability to build a modern patient-focused healthcare experience with multiple providers

  • Ability to evaluate growth trajectory opportunities based on analysis of previous methods and projection of strategic expansion

  • Strong understanding of corporate finance principles, specifically in reference to overseeing and working a P&L model, cash flow and balance sheet management, and general budgeting principles and best practices

  • Experience working effectively and appropriately in sensitive patient affairs

  • Experience with the implementation of reimbursement for services offered

  • Experience managing legal claims and mitigating relative press relations or news

  • Working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and with different audiences

  • Appreciates a “hands-on” and operational approach to running a business with exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and superior organizational skills

  • Possesses a strong sense of urgency, with the ability to get things done both autonomously and collaboratively

  • Ability to travel to multiple clinics and locations within a defined territory/region

  • Ability to understand the dynamics of a private equity-backed company with a majority stake in the investment, with experience providing updates to a Board of Directors, a private equity firm, and/or other constituents

  • Working knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to PTS health management

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA preferred
